Nurtur Aveda Institutes Student Jaleiah McNeil Named Finalist in National Intercoiffure Competition

We’re excited to celebrate Jaleiah McNeil, a Nurtur Aveda Institutes student who has been named one of just five finalists in the 2026 Intercoiffure America Canada Student Contest!

Presented by Intercoiffure America Canada (ICA) in partnership with Pivot Point International, the annual competition celebrates the creativity, passion and artistry of cosmetology students from accredited beauty schools.

This year’s competition began with students sharing what excites them about working with textured hair. From those entries, five finalists were selected to advance to the technical photo competition, where they were challenged to create an original special occasion-inspired look showcasing their skills and creativity.

As a finalist, Jaleiah created her competition look on a Pivot Point mannequin, with judging focused on both technical execution and creativity.

Being selected as one of only five finalists is an incredible accomplishment and an exciting recognition of Jaleiah’s talent as she prepares to begin her career in the beauty industry.

The finalists’ work will be showcased online and during the ICA Fall Atelier in New York City, October 3–5, 2026, where the winning student and instructor will be recognized onstage in front of leading salon owners and artists from across the industry.

We’re incredibly proud of Jaleiah for representing Nurtur Aveda Institutes on a national stage and can’t wait to see where her creativity and talent take her next.
